Real Men Charities aims to serve not only the youth, but also the community-at-large through positive fellowship, mentoring, and education among other methods. Less affluent communities tend to have struggles stemming from food choices, options, and historic habits.
Food wellness is a recurring theme across Real Men Charities initiatives. Program participants, both volunteers and youth, learn a new perspective on food wellness as they nurture relationships and shift paradigms.

Free Breakfast Program for Children
In partnership with Original Soul Vegetarian Restaurant, New Era Chicago, and Real Men Charities, we are proud to serve our community by providing healthy and delicious meals to our youth.
The breakfast program will complement the other daily activities taking place at The Quarry Event Center. The Quarry is providing a safe space for youth and adults to do school work or learn about various technologies through our tech training and workshops. The workshops will provide opportunities for all community members to engage with various technologies relevant to the new work and learning environments we are experiencing due to Covid19. Some examples of different workshop content will include: how to safely navigate the internet and protect your information online, how to do video conferencing, how to use remote learning platforms, and how to use google drive and g suite. A portion of the tech training will also be geared towards financial literacy and cover workshops on managing credit, the stock market, and an introductory course to understanding cryptocurrency. Chicago’s leading technology experts will share their Black-owned business ventures and opportunities in technology, from building computers to gaming.
The combined content of these tech trainings is meant to give our community the tools, resources, and healthy experiences needed to succeed in today’s rapidly changing work and learning environments, while also providing healthy and nutritious meals to our youth. We hope you will support our efforts and join us in building healthier families and communities.

Food Distribution
To save lives year-round and during Covid-19 pandemic, Real Men Charities converts its entertainment venue to a food stability and distribution center. In addition, in coordination with the Greater Chicago Food Depository, Real Men Charities provide pop-up distributions sites to supply and donate groceries for those in need. Real Men Charities also partners with USDA, Gotham Greens, the South Shore Chamber of Commerce, Soul Vegetarian Restaurant, Notarized and New Era Chicago as well as the Greater Metropolitan Church of Christ and New Nazareth Baptist Church in an effort to distribute food throughout the community.
